PALADID is first and foremost the maternal half-brother to the legendary PIANISSIMA – a model Arabian mare that set the breed standard. A twice Polish National Champion and twice European Triple Crown (as both junior and senior), US National Champion, Al Khalediah Arabian Horse Festival Gold Champion and Dubai International Gold Champion Mare, she was the first ever mare awarded the prestigious World Platinum Champion title at the Salon du Cheval in Paris. Descending from Janów Podlaski’s famed P-line of PIEWICA, known for many champions over eight generations such as (among others) PILARKA, PILAR, PILAROSA, PALMETA, PENICYLINA or PERFINKA, PIANISSIMA remains not only the most prominent member of her family, but the best Polish Arabian horse in history.
Paladid is the only son of the stallion AL ADEED AL SHAQAB in Polish breeding. His dam – Sundar Alisayyah, a US-bred daughter of the equally famous sire Ruminaja Ali, distinguished herself as a broodmare. She produced, among others: the mare Kamasayyah, who, after her first show successes in the USA, was sold as a yearling to Qatar, where – practically unbeaten – she continued her show career. A year later, Sundar Alisayyah herself came to Qatar, purchased by the famous Al Shaqab stud. There she gave birth to her best foal – the stallion Al Adeed Al Shaqab.
AL ADEED AL SHAQAB’s show successes include the titles of several International Doha Senior Champion Stallion, All Nations Cup Senior Gold Champion Stallion, World Senior Gold Champion Stallion, Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion in the US.
An injury excluded PALADID from being presented at show, hence he is not known to a wider public, however his genetic potential suggests that he could be invaluable to breeding.
