POGROM is without all doubt the best breeding sire from and in the barns of Janów Podlaski Stud. He has proven himself on every level and for that he was awarded the WAHO Trophy for outstanding achievements in the Arabian breed.

POGROM took America by storm in 2013, becoming a US Triple Crown Winner as Scottsdale Supreme Champion, Arabian Breeders World Cup Champion & US National Champion Stallion, beating many of the most respected and acclaimed stallions from all over the globe. He has been acknowledged on home soil as well, being named Junior Spring Show Gold Champion & Best in Show, Polish National Gold Champion Stallion as both junior and senior.

He has also excelled in the breeding barn, not only as a sire of champion winning get, but more importantly as a sire of champion producing broodmares. POGROM’s dam, PĘTLA, also a WAHO Trophy honoree like her son, is remembered as Janów Podlaski’s leading producer of extremely valuable breeding horses, including several (!) chief sires – POGROM and PRADO have been active in Arabian breeding, while others have been utilized in sports-oriented breeding (PENTAGRAM, POLIGON & PEDAGOG).

Interestingly, PĘTLA is a granddaughter of PESTKA, a descendant of Janów’s P-line of PIEWICA, who established her own subline famed for producing chief sires. In recent years as many as nine from this branch were active in Polish breeding (apart from those mentioned above this lot includes PITAWAL, POGANIN, PERSEUSZ, PEGASUS).

POGROM is the son of World Champion QR MARC, himself a son and grandson of the world’s most prominent World Champions of today, MARWAN AL SHAQAB & GAZAL AL SHAQAB.
